‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ star Tammy Slaton reveals staggering 500-pound weight loss

Tammy Slaton is celebrating another achievement!

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star recently posted a TikTok video announcing she had shed a total of 500 pounds since starting her weight loss journey.

“Truly absolutely amazing ladies, and I’m happy to call y’all my friends,” the TLC diva wrote over a TikTok video she released featuring one of her “weightloss warriors.”

In the video, seven women enter the frame one by one, and as each one joins the others, a number representing their weight loss shows on the screen. When Slaton joins, “- 500lb” appears.

“Truly absolutely amazing ladies and I’m happy to call y’all my friends,” Slaton continued. “I’m so proud of each and everyone [sic] of y’all not only are you beautiful on the inside but your [sic] gorgeous on the outside never forget.”

Slaton made her debut on 1000-Lb. Sisters in January 2020, alongside her sister Amy Slaton Halterman. The 38-year-old’s heaviest weight was 725 pounds.

Slaton’s journey began with a 14-month stay at a weight loss facility, followed by bariatric surgery in July 2022. Since then, she has documented her weight loss journey on social media.

In December 2023, Slaton told People that she had lost 440 pounds and accomplished something many people might consider minor, “but to me it was huge.”

“Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don’t even sleep with it at night anymore. Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle and not having to use an extender now. So I mean, just what seems minor to people, is giant to me.”

Her latest TikTok post is the most recent update followers have received on her weight loss journey.

Congratulations, Tammy! You’re doing an amazing job and inspiring so many people. Keep up the wonderful work.
