4 signs that l.i.v.e.r d.i.s.ease has entered a serious stage

1. Yellow skin and Whites of the eyes

Yellow skin and whites of the eyes are symbols of fatty liver on the face because of the accumulation of bilirubin waste in the liver. Because bilirubin levels increase, the patient’s skin and eyes become yellow.

The yellow color of the skin may be less noticeable in people with dark or brown skin, but the whites of the eyes will still be yellow.

2. Rash around the mouth

The body may not absorb certain nutrients effectively, typically zinc in people with chronic liver disease such as fatty liver disease. Therefore, people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are deficient in zinc.

3. Frequent itching

When people have fatty liver disease, it can cause itchy skin, including on the face. The main reason is due to excess bile salts in the body. However, scratching often does not help reduce pain and can also make the irritation worse.

4. Red spots appear on the face

If you see red spots on your face, it means that your liver is fatty and may have red spots under the skin that look like spider webs, also known as spider veins. Especially, this condition is due to damage that happens when the capillaries just below the skin surface dilate.

In this situation, you should meet a doctor to check as soon as possible, and have a positive treatment direction to protect your health.
