Prince Harry’s recent alleg:ation that the organization is “sabotaging” his connection with his father has apparently left King Charles “saddened and perplexed.”
It seemed that the Duke of Sussex accused courtiers of disclosing details of a meeting he had with his father this month.
In response to rumors that Harry blamed “men in grey suits” for the incident, a royal source stated: “The reality is that senior aides have been working behind the scenes to improve what is a delicate but important private family relationship.”
During his four-day trip to the UK, Harry met the King on September 10 and they had “a private tea” at London’s Clarence House. Following their encounter, the Duke, who traveled to the UK without Meghan Markle and their two kids, seemed at ease.
Harry said his father was “great” when he spoke to guests at a charity reception in London that evening.
The Sun later reported that the meeting was “distinctly formal”, with Harry reportedly describing the reunion as “very official, like an official visit”.
Harry’s spokesperson said: “Recent reporting of the Duke’s view of the tone of the meeting, is categorically false.
“The quotes attributed to him are pure invention – fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.”
In order to commemorate their reunion, Harry reportedly gave King Charles a framed picture of himself with Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet during their encounter.
Since their most recent visit to the UK in June 2022, the King has not seen his two youngest grandchildren, Prince Archie, who is six years old, and Princess Lilibet, who is four years old.
The monarch celebrated turning 41 a few days after their meeting, and it is also reported that the King gave Harry a birthday present.
