The Friend Who Said “Don’t Go Up There”
Two friends, Thomas and Stefan, are walking down the street when they see an attractive woman in a ground-floor window blowing kisses at them.
Thomas says:
“Hey, did you see that? She’s blowing me kisses!”
Stefan immediately replies:
“It’s better to ignore it. Just pretend nothing’s wrong.”
The woman beckons Thomas up to her.
Thomas:
“Now she’s even calling me!”
Stefan gets nervous:
“Man, don’t go up there!”
“Why not?” asks Thomas.
Stefan:
“Just trust me… don’t do it!”
But Thomas doesn’t listen to him and runs into the house.
The woman opens the door for him, and they go into the apartment together.
Just as things are getting romantic, a car horn sounds outside.
The woman looks out the window:
“Oh no! That’s my husband!”
“Damn it!”, shouts Thomas.
“Don’t worry,” she says quickly, pointing to a huge pile of laundry.
“I’ll just say you’re the new housekeeper. Start ironing!”
Since her husband is home all day, Thomas spends the rest of the day ironing laundry.
The next day he meets Stefan and tells him everything:
“You won’t believe what happened! Her husband came home and I had to iron all day!”
Stefan sighs:
“I told you, don’t go up there…”
Then he grins:
“All the laundry you ironed? I washed it the day before.”
