After the wedding, in the middle of the night, the bride suddenly lets out a quiet laugh in the dark.
The groom turns over, half asleep:
— What’s so funny?
She pauses for a moment, then says softly:
— I just remembered something my mom used to tell me…
— What was that?
— She said, “One day, you’ll meet the right person… the one who makes you feel completely at peace.”
The groom smiles:
— That sounds nice.
There’s a short silence.
She pulls the blanket up slightly and murmurs:
— Yeah… I think I met him before I met you.
The room goes quiet again.
