One evening, Grandma and Grandpa were relaxing on the couch, watching a televised healing service.
The preacher looked straight into the camera and announced,
“If you want to receive healing today, place one hand on the television…”
“…and the other hand on the part of your body that needs healing!”
Grandma nodded seriously.
She placed one hand on the TV…
And the other on her aching shoulder.
Grandpa listened just as carefully.
He reached out with one hand to touch the TV…
Then confidently placed the other hand on his private parts.
Grandma glanced over…
Looked back at the TV…
Then looked at Grandpa again.
Trying not to laugh, she shook her head and said,
“George… I think you misunderstood the instructions.”
Grandpa looked confused.
“What do you mean?”
Grandma smiled and delivered the knockout line:
“This program is for healing the sick…”
“…not raising the dead!” 😂
