How Bubba Got a Brand New Truck for Free (And Why His Best Friend Thinks He’s a Genius)
An elderly man named Jimmy was taking his afternoon stroll down Main Street when a roaring engine caught his attention. He turned around and was shocked to see his old buddy, Bubba, rolling up in a sparkling, brand-new, top-of-the-line pickup truck.
Bubba slammed the brakes and leaned out the window with a massive, triumphant grin.
“Holy smokes, Bubba!” Jimmy gasped, dropping his jaw. “Where on earth did you get a gorgeous truck like that?!”
“Mary gave it to me,” Bubba replied casually.
“She gave it to you?” Jimmy blinked in disbelief. “I mean, I knew she had a little crush on you, but a brand-new truck? That’s insane!”
“Well, Jimmy, let me tell you exactly how it went down,” Bubba explained, leaning on the steering wheel. “Yesterday, Mary and I were driving out on County Road 6, way out in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, she pulled off the asphalt, threw the truck into four-wheel drive, and tore deep into the woods.”
“Go on…” Jimmy said, completely invested.
“She parked in a secluded clearing, hopped out of the cab, ripped off all her clothes, threw them on the ground, looked me dead in the eye, and whispered: ‘Bubba… take whatever you want.'”
Bubba smiled proudly. “So, I took the truck!”
Jimmy stared at him for a second, nodded his head in absolute admiration, and patted the hood.
“Brilliant move, Bubba! You are a very smart man. Those clothes would have never fit you anyway!”
