After celebrating fifty years of marriage, a husband looked at his wife one evening and decided to voice a sudden, risky realization.
“Fifty years ago,” he mused, “we lived in a tiny apartment, drove a total junk car, slept on a lumpy sofa bed, and watched a fuzzy black-and-white TV. But on the bright side, I got to sleep with a gorgeous 23-year-old hottie every single night.”
He gestured around their current lavish surroundings and sighed. “Now, we have a $750,000 home, a luxury sports car, a massive king-sized bed, and a giant flat-screen TV… but I’m sleeping with a 73-year-old woman. It just feels like you’re not holding up your end of the economic bargain, honey.”
His wife, being a highly logical and reasonable woman, smiled calmly and replied:
“Oh, don’t worry, sweetheart. Go right ahead and find yourself a hot 23-year-old girl… and I’ll personally guarantee that you’re back in a cheap apartment, driving a junk car, sleeping on a sofa bed, and watching a 10-inch black-and-white TV.”
