King Charles’s Friday ritual means he can spend more time with George, Charlotte and Louis

King Charles utilizes Windsor Castle, a 1,000-year-old fortification in Berkshire, as one of his official residences.

It is a functional palace that frequently hosts investitures and state visits, yet spending time there allows him to spend more time with his grandchildren. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis live with their parents in Adelaide Cottage, located on the grounds of Windsor Home Park, just east of Windsor Castle.

This means that when King Charles works in Windsor, he is aware that he is close to Prince William and Princess Kate’s children. Charles apparently has a close relationship with the three Wales children, who lovingly refer to him as “Grandpa Wales,” and he is known to spend a significant amount of time with them at Windsor Castle.

King Charles particuarly has a warm relationship with granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, is has been reported. People Magazine reported the king “once wanted a daughter”.

Royal author Ingrid Seward told the outlet: “He once wanted a daughter. I would think he has a very nice relationship with his granddaughter.”

The little princess’ instinctive grace in royal tasks reflects Charles’ own sense of purpose. A palace insider added: “She’s a natural and has taken to royal events like a duck to water.”

Charles was also spotted once wearing a friendship bracelet Charlotte likely made for him, a small but sweet symbol of their personal bond.

When recovering from his cancer diagnosis, royal author, Robert Jobson, explained how the King would be getting “positive energy” from the young grandchildren.

As reported in Hello! Magazine, he said: “The King will be getting lots of positive energy from the little ones. He needs peace and quiet, but he will have been very happy to see his grandchildren and to spend a bit of time with them.
