The VMAs were held last night, which is probably why music video-related stuff has taken up a lot of space on your social media feeds today.
Among the many celebs that attended the event was Orlando Bloom, who was there to support fiancée Katy Perry, and if stories are to be believed, an awkward situation occurred during her performance.
Perry had a memorable night, joining Nicki Minaj, Shakira, Missy Elliott, and Jennifer Lopez in receiving one of the VMAs’ most prestigious awards, the MTV Video Vanguard Award (for lifetime accomplishment).
Bloom presented the award to the 39-year-old singer after delivering a moving and passionate statement.
“You fell in love with her as Katy Perry. I fell in love with her as Katheryn Hudson,” he told the audience.
“You know her as a global superstar who brings love, light, and her unique sense of humor to every song she writes and music video she creates.
“I know her as a mother, as a partner who brings that same love and joy to our family.”
Bloom concluded his speech with: “Congratulations on this honor, baby.”
Before accepting her award, Perry entered the stage and sang a medley of her best singles, including Teenage Dream, I Kissed a Girl, and E.T.
We’re confident that readers will agree that these are all classics. While the vast majority of individuals can probably claim to remember at least some of the lyrics of Perry’s most renowned songs, it appears that her fiancé cannot.
As Perry sang, cameras focused on Bloom in the audience. Fans believe the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean star struggled to recite the words.

“Every cut to Orlando Bloom makes it seem like this is the first time he’s heard a Katy Perry song,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Orlando Bloom has never heard a single Katy Perry song,” chimed another.
“Orlando Bloom has never heard a Katy Perry song in his life, but good for him for supporting her,” a third person wrote.
