My computer completely froze up yesterday, so I swallowed my pride and called Eric, the eleven-year-old tech prodigy who lives next door.
Eric strolled in, casually clicked a couple of buttons, and instantly solved the entire problem.
As the smug little guy was walking out the door, I called after him, “So, what was actually wrong with it?”
“Oh, nothing major,” Eric shrugged. “It was just a standard ID-ten-T error.”
Not wanting to look completely computer illiterate in front of a pre-teen, I nodded sagely, then hesitated. “An ID-ten-T error? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that one. What is it?”
Eric grinned mischievously. “Just write it down on a piece of paper, and I think you’ll figure it out.”
So, I grabbed a pen and wrote down exactly what he said:
