A man checked into a hotel and noticed there was a computer in his room.
Thinking it would be a nice way to keep in touch with his wife, he decided to send her a quick email.
Unfortunately, he typed the wrong email address.
Instead of reaching his wife, the message landed in the inbox of a woman who had just returned home from her husband’s funeral.
The grieving widow opened her email, expecting messages from family and friends.
Instead, she saw a new message.
She read the first line…
And immediately fainted.
Her son rushed into the room and found her lying on the floor.
He looked at the computer screen and read:
“To my loving wife,
I know you’re surprised to hear from me!
They have computers here, and we’re allowed to send emails to our loved ones.
I’ve just checked in.
How are you and the kids?
The place is really nice, although I’m a little lonely.
I’ve already made all the necessary arrangements for your arrival tomorrow.
I’m expecting you, darling.
I can’t wait to see you!”
The son stared at the screen in complete horror.
Then he looked at his unconscious mother.
Finally, he whispered,
“Mom… I think Dad just discovered email.”
The hotel may have had Wi-Fi…
But that widow definitely didn’t need it.
