My wife texted me this morning:
“Your my forever. ❤️”
Without thinking, I replied,
“No, YOU’RE my forever. ❤️”
She immediately sent back a heart emoji.
I thought nothing of it.
But then she started walking around the house smiling, singing, and looking at me like I had just written the greatest love poem of all time.
She even made me coffee.
She hugged me for no reason.
She keeps telling everyone how romantic her husband is.
Now I’m starting to feel guilty.
Should I confess that I was actually just correcting her grammar?
Or should I keep quiet and enjoy my new reputation as a romantic genius?
Honestly…
After this much praise, I’m suddenly very passionate about proper English.
