Because of this, just a piece of the moon travels through the Earth’s center and thickest shadow, known as the umbra.
The rest of the moon stays in the ‘penumbra’, the lighter outer section of the shadow, indicating that it is still completely lighted by the sun.
During a partial lunar eclipse, the shadowed portion of the moon appears darker, while the rest remains brilliant.
In contrast to a total lunar eclipse, in which the entire moon enters the Earth’s umbra and typically turns reddish, a partial eclipse merely darkens a portion of the moon’s surface, generating a striking visual contrast.
According to Hindustan Times, partial eclipse will have a particularly strong impact on three zodiac signs.
Leo
The first name on the list is Leo.
